DETAILS
Penned by legendary knife-maker, Warren Osborne, the Benchmade 940 Osborne has long been recognized as one of the most celebrated and capable EDC knives in existence, though in honor of the 940’s 20th anniversary, the Oregon City outfit has released an ultra-premium, limited edition version of the Osborne. Weighing in at just 3.42oz (0.21lbs), the knife’s 3.40” (0.115 thick) reverse tanto blade has been upgraded to a top-shelf CPM-S90V steel construction with a black diamond-like carbon coating, while the handle is now milled from titanium and the hardware and thumbstuds are comprised of Blue Sapphire PVD-coated items. Limited to 2,000 units worldwide, the 940BK-2003-spec Osborne also packs a black DLC-coated mini deep-carry pocket clip and Benchmade’s signature AXIS locking mechanism.
