There are a lot of EDC backpacks out there, but most are built to make it through the good days. Arktype's Dashpack, by contrast, was built to survive the really bad ones - thanks to its construction of 1680D Durable Water Repellant ballistic nylon, water-repellant YKK zippers, and double-walled ripstop nylon interior lining. As if that wasn't enough, it also offers up a padded 15" laptop pouch, a secondary back-facing 13" laptop-sized compartment (which is only accessible when you're not wearing the bag), dual interior YKK zippered pouches, and both a sidearm D-ring and an interior ceiling D-ring for extra attachments. And if the 15-liters of internal space doesn't do it for you, it also has mil-spec external webbing for add-on pouches. Plus, the whole killer bag is handmade in the USA with materials also sourced from the States.

I ordered this backpack after reading and viewing many reviews. It is 100%, really well made, and love the design. Compared to other packs I have it is definitely smaller (volume) but It is designed for daily carry - works well as it isn't all that heavy when fully loaded for a day's worth of roaming around. I'm using it for essentials and carrying my camera on day-to-day city ventures.
Design (water bottle side-pockets are smaller than normal) - 9.5/10
Construction/workmanship (Straps are awesome, adjustable without excess straps hanging) - 10/10
Durability (1680D, stitching, excellent zippers) - 10/10
Esthetics (had 4 people ask me about it in the 5 days I've had it) - 9.5/10
