Impressively, the folks at Matador have managed to improve upon their already-amazing Freerain24 packable daypack with the brand-spanking-new 2.0 version. Boasting much of what made the original incredible - like a construction of waterproof 30D Cordura ripstop nylon, a 24-liter capacity, and the ability to pack down to about the size of a soda can - this bag also improves on it in many ways. For starters, this new version has a siliconized waterproof coating to improve the ingress protection even further. The front zippered pocket has also been shifted to the side for better access and ease of storage. And the whole design has been revamped for better, more efficient carry. They claim this is the world's lightest, most capable, waterproof backpack available - and we're inclined to agree.
