Details

Simple, yet elegant, the Higonokami is the closest you can get to carrying around a katana in your pocket. In fact, it was popularized by the same Japanese blacksmiths who once served the samurai, dating back as far as 1896. This one consists of two parts: a 3" blue paper reverse tanto steel blade with a lever deployment and a 4.25" tumbled iron handle - both featuring beautiful kanji (Japanese lettering) stamped into the side. It is also a friction folder, so it does not lock into place when deployed. Each of these knives is handmade in Japan by Motosuki Nagao, which means they are slightly imperfect by design. Whether you need your first EDC blade or you just want to add another superb minimalist knife to your collection, this miniature samurai sword is as classic as they come.
