BAUHAUS: A SYMBOL OF MODERN DESIGN
The aesthetic behind Handgrey’s designs dates back to the Bauhaus movement of the early years of the Weimar Republic in Germany, after World War I left the European continent shaken. Unlike the impressionist and early modernist design that preceded the war, The Bauhaus favored an abstract, geometric style that prized function as form. It was unique in its fusion of the industrial with the artistic.
Handgrey’s design principles stem directly from this philosophy: less is more. Every carabiner and keyring in their lineup is designed to maximize functionality while remaining light and durable. There are no components or assembly – just a unibody design that relies on the natural springiness of the alloy. Sometimes, simple really is just better.

THE H1 TITANIUM CARABINER FROM HANDGREY
The H1 is a 2-piece quick release key-capturing elongated version intended to be slim, streamlined, and compact. The entire carabiner is EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) wire cut and is the first of its kind to be crafted in this manner. Since it is built from sturdy TI6A-4V grade 5 squared titanium, it'll likely outlast any of the keys or tools you might hang from it.

THE BAUHAUS K80 TITANIUM CARABINER FROM HANDGREY
The K line of Handgrey carabiners were conceived with dual functionality in mind. The K80 is perhaps the best example of that conception, combining a traditional carabiner and a bottle opener into a fluid, perfectly balanced, minimalist design. Given the strong TI6A-4V squared titanium unibody construction, there are no secondary parts to break or fail on the opening gate, relying instead on a curved built-in spring and the inherent strength of the metal.

THE KNOX TITANIUM KEYRING FROM HANDGREY
Designed in an attempt at reimagining an over 100-year-old invention - the keyring - this lateral split ring is made from 6Al4V grade 5 titanium. It features a 10-sided exterior, but has a smooth interior curve to ensure freedom of key movement without them getting snagged on the angles. The clever design allows for a much easier push/pull motion in order to attach or detach keys, rather than having to use your fingers or a tool to pry it apart. Best of all, it is both lighter and stronger than your typical keyring.
